• FAQ

Do your tours operate all year round?

We conduct tours throughout the whole year. Details about the times and running days of individual tours can be found on the product page of each tour. Please note that we do not run tours on 24, 25 and 31 December.

Do your tours run even if it rains?

Yes, our tours take place in all weather conditions, including rain and snow, so we recommend that you check the weather forecast to ensure you come dressed appropriately for the tour.

Where can I book tickets?

All tickets must be purchased online on our website. See the product page of each tour for more details.

Is it possible to buy tickets with cash at the meeting point?

Unfortunately, we do not have facilities such as an office or a cash register at the meeting point for ticket purchases by credit card or cash. If you want to book a ticket on the meeting point, the only option is through the online payment on our website. If tickets are sold out online, please speak with our staff at the meeting point. They can provide guidance on whether and how you might still be able to join the tour.

What if I’m late to the meeting point?

Each customer must arrive at the meeting point on time as the tour starts promptly and cannot wait for late arrivals. However, if you know you will be late, please contact us at +420 723 306 963 or email us at info@mcgeesghosttours.com. If possible, a staff member will meet you at the meeting point and assist you in joining the group.

Are all your tours in English?

We run most of our tours both in English and German. For some of them, English language is the only option on offer. For more information, please see the product page of individual tours.

Are your guides English speakers?

If you book an English tour, your guide will either be a native speaker or speak English to a very high standard.

Are your tours suitable for children?

Most of our tours are suitable for all ages, but some of the ghost tour content may be too graphic for very young children (themes of blood, murder, etc.), so it is up to parents to decide whether to take their child on a ghost tour. Other tours involve a lot of walking and historical information, so we generally welcome all younger visitors who are comfortable with listening to storytelling for the duration of the tour. If in doubt, please contact us before booking your tour.

Are your tours suitable for people with disabilities or mobility issues?

Some of our tours involve visits to historic sites which do not have elevator facilities. Some of the longer tours may involve long periods of walking. Contact us before booking your tour if you have any specific needs and our staff will be happy to advise you.

Which is the best tour you have?

We have several options available, depending on your tastes and interests. If you have a limited time in Prague and want to see the best of the city, you might try our Prague Full-Day City Tour with Cruise and Lunch, which includes the Old Town, Jewish Quarter, Lesser Town, and Castle areas, as well as a river cruise and lunch. If you are looking for something different, you might be interested in our ghost tours.

I booked a tour and I am now unable to attend, what should I do?

In case you are unable to attend, please contact us at info@trips-tickets.com. To get more information about our cancellation policy, please see our section General Terms & Conditions.

Where do the tours start?

All our tours start in front of the building Týnská 627/7, Prague 1 (behind the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn). The only difference is with the tour Psychiatric Hospital & Abandoned Cemetery, which starts in front of the gate of the hospital at Ústavní 91, Prague 8. Please see our section Starting Point for maps and transport details.

Where do the tours end?

This varies based on the tour you choose. After the tour, your guide will be happy to show you the way to your next destination. If you need to know this information before the tour, please email us at info@trips-tickets.com.

Can I choose other times and dates than those on offer?

This is not possible in the case of a public tour as we have a fixed schedule for each tour. If you would like to take the tour at a time other than those offered, you can book a private tour.

How far ahead can I purchase tickets for the tour?

Tour tickets are available well in advance. For more information, please check the calendar when booking individual tours.

Until when can I buy tickets for the public tour?

The booking policy varies depending on the tour. For the Ghosts & Legends of Old Town Tour, reservations can typically be made up until the last minute before the tour starts. For other tours, tickets are available for purchase up to 2 hours before the tour begins. However, if tours reach full capacity, the booking window may close earlier. To secure your spot, we recommend booking as early as possible.

What is the average size of your groups?

Group sizes can vary depending on the time of year, with some tours being quieter than others. On average there are between 10 and 20 people in each group.

Do the tours involve a lot of walking?

Each tour has a different level of physical demands. Typically the tours that last 3 hours or more cover the extensive historical sites and are therefore more challenging. The Ghosts & Legends of Old Town tour, on the other hand, is a shorter, more leisurely walk, similar to a stroll through a park. Participants often find the tour captivating, with ghost stories leaving them eagerly anticipating each new tale.
